Trypta-Phunk is an instrumental rock/funk group formed by Nashville based musicians Tracy Broussard (drums), Beau Tackett (guitar), Rob Byus (bass), and Philip de Steiguer (Keyboards).
The group focuses on developing original, groove oriented material while utilizing an instrumental approach. Not a typical funk/rock group, Trypta-Phunk stretches out musically by using a variety of effects, time signatures, and complex arrangments to weave solid melodies throughout a steady groove-fest of rhythms.
Trypta-Phunk recently completed a five week run hosting "Trypta-Phunk Tuesdays" at The Red Rooster in Nashville. More shows are in the works, so check back soon for details!
